A family story in the heart of Chianti Classico

The Cecchi family's adventure began at the end of the 19th century with Luigi Cecchi, a passionate merchant who played a role in gaining recognition for Tuscan wines. In the 1970s, the family established itself permanently in Castellina in Chianti, one of the historic territories of Chianti Classico. This move marked a decisive step in the group's development and its desire to produce wines directly from Tuscany's greatest terroirs. Today, the fourth generation continues this pursuit of excellence while preserving the family identity of the house.

Exceptional estates between Tuscany and Umbria

Over the decades, Cecchi Family Estates has built a remarkable wine heritage comprising several iconic properties. These include Villa Cerna and Villa Rosa in Chianti Classico, Val delle Rose in Maremma, Tenuta Alzatura in Montefalco in Umbria, and vineyards in Montalcino. Each estate has its own identity, allowing the Cecchi family to explore the diversity of great Italian terroirs through prestigious appellations such as Chianti Classico, Morellino di Scansano, and Montefalco Sagrantino.

Sangiovese at the heart of Cecchi's identity

The family's philosophy is based on a rigorous appreciation of Central Italy's emblematic grape varieties, with Sangiovese taking center stage. Present in many of the group's cuvées, it precisely expresses the nuances of the various Tuscan terroirs. This approach enables the production of elegant and balanced wines that reflect the richness of the region's historic appellations while preserving each estate's unique identity.

A sustainable vision for the future

Environmental respect is a major commitment for Cecchi Family Estates. For several years, the family has been investing in practices aimed at reducing the environmental impact of its activities and sustainably preserving viticultural ecosystems. This responsible approach goes hand-in-hand with a continuous pursuit of quality and helps produce wines that authentically express the personality of the terroirs while preparing for the future of coming generations.
