This Poggio al Leone reserve cuvée is intense ruby, with aromas of ripe, fleshy fruit, typical of Sangiovese from Maremma. On the palate it is full-bodied, while being fine and elegant, a balance allowed by the mild Mediterranean climate, moderated by the nearby sea. This red wine will enhance Tortelli alla maremmanna, a type of ravioli with local spinach, or braised red meats!
