Val delle Rose, Morellino di Scansano
Red wine | Morellino di Scansano DOCG
We bite the cherry in the valley of roses!
Around the Tuscan village of Scansano, the red Sangiovese grape variety is called Morellino. A name which also designates the morello cherry. And that's good, this red wine expresses itself with aromas of morello cherry, bitter cherry, balsamic notes and oregano. Its short aging in oak barrels gives it roundness and elegance while maintaining its freshness. A treat with antipasti or spaghetti al ragù.
