Val delle Rose "Aurelio"
Red wine | Maremma Toscana DOC
Gold in a bottle!
The Tuscan sun is good for Bordeaux grape varieties! This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc offers a rich nose of ripe red fruits, spices and chocolate. On the palate, this red wine is supple, powerful, with velvety tannins. It well deserved its name, which comes from Aurum, gold in Latin. It also refers to an ancient road, the Via Aurelia, leading from Rome to the south of France, via the coast... Tuscany!

Aurelio's second harvest, this wine was born as a tribute to Maremma, named after the road that crosses the coast, Via Aurelia. The grapes come from a terroir in the Poggio la Mozza region in Grosseto, thin, in feldspathic quartz sandstone, quite stony.
Prolonged contact with grape skins during winemaking. Fermentation in steel tanks at 25°C on average. Maceration for 15 days, followed by aging in barrels for 12 months, then 6 months in bottle.
