94 100James SucklingA very fine and polished PL with blackcurrant, fresh-herb, terracotta and crunchy-seed character. Medium body, fine and focused tannins and a flavorful finish. Lots there in a classic way.

92 100ParkerFleshy and demonstrative, the 2023 Prieuré-Lichine offers up aromas of sweet berries, plums and smoke, framed by creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and textural, with good depth and persistence, it's a strong effort that will offer a broad drinking window in a more modern style. William Kelley

91 100Yves Beck64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Floral and fruity, the Prieuré-Lichine is an inviting wine. Hints of peony underline its freshness, while blackcurrant adds fruitiness. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, juicy and slender. It is underpinned by supple tannins that are still a little angular, but this will all be fine-tuned with age. 2026-2033

91 100Jean-Marc QuarinBeautiful dark colour. Intense nose of ripe, fine fruit. Delicate and supple on the palate, with a fine fatness. This vintage offers a very delicate and inviting bouquet with its notes of blackberry, tea leaves and licorice.
This vintage offers good density on the palate, and is delicious and harmonious. An aesthetic wine, focused on freshness, finesse and charm.

The terroir of Château Prieuré-Lichine is essentially composed of gravel deposited by the river during glacial breakups. Runoff then cut these sedimentary soils into well-drained hillocks which, today, face the Gironde.
Vatting for 25 to 27 days in stainless steel and concrete vats, aging for 14 to 16 months in oak barrels, 40% of which is new wood.
