97 100Yves Beck65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon Hints of graphite and liquorice, complemented by floral and fruity notes, underline the complexity of the bouquet. Petit-Village is a wine of finesse and charm. Its inviting, powerful character heralds a wine capable of shining on several levels. Its vitality gives it charm, while its acidity structure, in particular, suggests that it has good ageing potential. Let's not forget that this acidity also gives it freshness and spirit. The result is a wine that is elegant, sapid and persistent, with a touch of salinity at the end of the palate, which has the effect of enhancing the finish and its persistence. 2029-2053

97 100Alexandre MaIn 2023, Château Petit-Village emerges like a delicate purple lotus from cream; its soft and luscious texture profoundly touches me. In my opinion, it stands as the next superstar in Pomerol! This wine might appear calm, but intense activity is felt beneath its surface. Its gravelly clay terroir imparts a robust backbone, while the solid tannins, softened by the caress of cream cheese, shed their armor… Guillaume informed me that the 2023 vintage was the first year with organic certification. This vintage has a more relaxed expression of aromas, and it also reveals a rare saltiness like what I often find in wines with limestone soils.

A beautiful dark purple red with purplish reflections.
Very aromatic and fresh, with ripe and subtle fruitiness, aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry and blueberry, followed by notes of sweet spices and cocoa.
Soft and melting entry into the mouth, evolving savory, delicate with a pulpy sensation, endowed with fine and nuanced tannins.
Château Petit-Village is located in the heart of Pomerol, on a magnificent clay-gravel plateau. It is a 10.5 hectare vineyard, in one piece, which forms a triangle. Its terroir is made up of deep gravel coated with light, sandy clay on a subsoil of alios called iron grime, characteristic of the great wines of Pomerol.
Vinification for 25 days in thermoregulated vats, malolactic fermentation, aging for approximately 15 months in oak barrels, 70% of which is new wood.
