A dark and intense purple red, with purple reflections.
Very aromatic bouquet, pure and ripe, with aromas of black berries and licorice, followed by floral notes, cedar and graphite.
Delicate attack, fruity mid-palate, with velvety tannins which develop gently, a very harmonious wine, with good length.
The 51 ha vineyard, in one piece, is planted on siliceous gravel soils, on a subsoil with a vein of blue clay. Its proximity to the river protects it from frost. The fairly steep slope facilitates natural drainage of the land. The vines are 35 to 40 years old on average and are divided between Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
Manual harvest, sorting in the vineyard and on arrival at the cellar. Fermentation and vatting in batches in thermoregulated stainless steel and concrete vats. Aging for 18 to 24 months in oak barrels (40% new wood).
