99 100James SucklingThis is tight, yet so upright and proper, with a vertical line of fine tannin that runs true and deep. It’s medium- to full-bodied with an exquisite texture and a long, structured finish. 52.3% merlot, 38.6% cabernet sauvignon and 9.1% cabernet franc.

97 100Jean-Marc QuarinDark, intense purple colour. Very aromatic nose, fine, subtle, deep and complex. Fat on the palate, very aromatic in the middle, savoury, rich, the wine evolves juicy and long. The aftertaste is rich in tannins, with noble and refined aromas. A great wine! Blend: 52.3% Merlot, 38.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9.1% Cabernet Franc. Alcohol content: 14°6 - pH: 3.73 - IPT: 78. Yield: 55 hl/ha.

96 100ParkerThe 2023 Haut-Brion exhibits a more Cabernet-inflected personality than the richer 2022, offering up a deep but youthfully reserved bouquet of dark wild berries, licorice, smoke and pencil lead mingled with notions of cigar wrapper, nicely integrated new oak and spices. Full-bodied, deep and velvety, it’s layered and concentrated, with a deep core of fruit structured around abundant but velvety tannins, concluding with a long, controlled finish. Somewhat reminiscent of the estate's successful 2006, it's a blend of 52.3% Merlot, 38.6% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9.1% Cabernet Franc. 2025 - 2055. Yohan Castaing

98 100Yves BeckThe bouquet of Haut-Brion has many facets, but they all have one thing in common: finesse. None of the elements dominate. There are hints of raspberry and blackcurrant, as well as Earl Grey, aniseed and graphite, followed by subtle spicy notes. Like the nose, the palate reveals itself gradually. However, it has depth right from the start. It unfolds in an even, linear fashion, supported by muscular, velvety tannins that form an irresistible duo with the acidity. The result is a wine with power and temperament. This bodes well for the many years it will spend in the cellar! This is a wine whose power is difficult to measure, but is certainly evident. We've managed to channel it in a way that distributes its energy precisely. There are also fine bitters that make the finish very long. A very great wine that will have to wait. 2030-2068
A beautiful dark and bright red.
Fruity, subtle and precise, it displays a floral character, followed by aromas of blackberry coated with nuances of mint and graphite.
Discreet entry, tasty and quite quickly tannic in the mid-palate, followed by a long, aromatic and fresh finish.
