Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2023
Bordeaux Primeur | 5th Cru Classé, Pauillac AC
Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a unique vintage in the prestigious Pauillac appellation: its fragmented plot offers a mosaic of terroirs which make its vineyard one of the most representative of the diversity of the terroirs of the appellation and gives its wines a and elegance. Furthermore, it is the only vintage whose castle, vat room and cellars are located in the very heart of the village of Pauillac.

Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
The plots of Grand-Puy Ducasse benefit from gravel terroirs typical of Pauillac, silico-gravelly for the Cabernet-Sauvignon and more clayey gravel for the Merlots.
After manual harvesting and sorting in the vineyard, the grapes are destemmed and placed in vats with a capacity adapted to the plot. Vinification is classic in thermoregulated stainless steel vats. After assembly, aging continues for 18 to 24 months in barrels (40% new wood each year).
