A historic cooperative serving the Todi region

Cantina Tudernum was founded by about fifty winegrowers who chose to pool their resources to produce and market their wines. Since its beginnings, the winery has undergone significant development, moving from a production focused on volume to an approach centered on quality. The restructuring carried out in the vineyard since the 1990s has made it possible to enhance the best terroirs and strengthen the identity of the wines produced under the Todi DOC appellation.

Grechetto di Todi, emblem of Umbrian white wines

Among the grape varieties cultivated by Cantina Tudernum, Grechetto di Todi holds a central position. This indigenous variety is recognized for its freshness, structure, and characteristic aromatic expression. The winery has participated in research efforts aimed at preserving and enhancing this unique viticultural heritage, thereby contributing to the recognition of Grechetto among the great Italian white grape varieties.

Viticulture: A blend of tradition and innovation

True to its roots while looking to the future, Cantina Tudernum regularly invests in winemaking equipment and cultivation techniques. The winery works with both historical Umbrian grape varieties, such as Grechetto, Sangiovese, and Sagrantino, as well as some international varieties. This approach allows them to produce a complete range of wines that combine regional typicality, enological precision, and excellent value for money.

A benchmark for wines from Todi and Umbria

Thanks to its local roots, the diversity of its vineyards, and the quality of its wines, Cantina Tudernum actively contributes to the renown of Umbrian wines. Wines from the Todi DOC appellation, as well as the Grechetto and Sagrantino cuvées, illustrate the potential of a wine region that is still little known but particularly dynamic. The winery is now one of the most representative ambassadors of Umbrian wine heritage.
