Journey to Swiss lands: Sarraux-Dessous Estate

Voyage en terres helvétiques : Domaine de Sarraux-Dessous

The first traces of the estate date back to the 12th century and the independent commune of Serraux, which notably included a castle and a court of justice.

For over twenty years, Eric Barbay has been tending this single-unit vineyard, located around the beautiful Sarraux-Dessous residence.

Did you know?
Where does the name “Malakoff” come from?

Did you know?

The name comes from the Malakoff fort that defended the city of Sevastopol during the Crimean War. Vaudois mercenaries hired alongside Napoleon III helped take the fort in 1855, and also brought the famous idea of fried cheese home!

Some ideas for food and wine pairings

Chasselas will go wonderfully with the local specialty: malakoffs or Vinzel beignets.

Chasselas Réserve Spéciale will be the ideal companion for strong cheeses.
