Lizard wine unites us

A Murailles wine is a wine that pleases and brings people together. Accessible to all and appreciated by all, without language or cultural barriers, it allows us to overcome the walls that hinder us. An ode to openness to others, our “feel good” wine embodies a celebration of conviviality, an invitation to savor memorable moments in good company.

Created more than a hundred years ago, the Murailles brand is now available in several varieties.
Aigle les Murailles, Chasselas, Murailles red, Murailles rosé, Murailles Brut, and Murailles Brut Rosé.

Alongside these traditional vintages is the latest Murmure. Marjorie Bonvin creates this vintage in 2023. The result of work carried out in the greatest of secrets, our oenologist wants to raise this vintage exclusively in contact with its original climate, in a mysterious cavity in the heart of the Murailles vineyards. In production limited to 950 examples and intended for connoisseurs, the Murmure vintage is an invitation to taste the very essence of our terroir.

An icon that crosses generations

The emblem of the Murailles, the Aigle les Murailles chasselas, was born more than a century ago. Its vines take root in the vines in the heart of Chablais Vaudois. The vineyard, planted on terraces, is interspersed with dry stone walls. Facing due south, the grapes are full of sun and benefit from a mild climate, influenced by the foehn, a hot wind blowing up the Rhône Valley.

It is this environment which gives our Aigle les Murailles Chasselas its typicality, its taste with perfect balance, combining the fruit and the minerality specific to the grape variety which gives it a beautiful freshness.

Our icon crosses the borders of Switzerland and generations of wine enthusiasts. For more than 100 years, lizard wine has been on every table, inviting a taste celebration at every moment. For Marjorie Bonvin, oenologist, the vinification of Aigle les Murailles is a real challenge that she and her team are keen to take on, shaping each vintage with precision and passion so that our emblematic vintage continues to please oenophiles from Today.

The lizard, a protected animal

The green lizard is the emblem of Maison Henri Badoux. Viticulture, in its current form, threatens its ecosystem. It is with passion that for several years, Maison Henri Badoux has been committed to the preservation and restoration of its biotope.

Maison Henri Badoux works in partnership with herpetologists and forest managers from the town of Aigle and the canton of Vaud. Annual counts make it possible to identify the population of reptiles and to monitor the evolution of their numbers.

Currently, several lizard colonies thrive on the edge of the House's plots. Thanks to sustained efforts, the emblematic green lizard is gradually regaining its place in the green heart of the vineyard. This initiative will significantly contribute to the enrichment of biodiversity in the wine world, proving that Maison Henri Badoux is committed as a fervent protector of the nature that surrounds it.
