Maurice Gay 1883, Heida
White wine | Valais AOC
A grape variety with many names… and facets!
Savagnin Blanc takes the name Païen or Heida in Valais. This example from Cave St-Pierre, from vineyards on hillsides, combines power and freshness. It offers notes of candied lemon, grapefruit and fresh flowers. Both bold and tense, mineral on the palate, it is a white wine for gastronomy. At the table it is not afraid of anything and goes well with a wide variety of dishes, from a plate of raw vegetables to blue cheese and white meat.
