Maurice Gay 1883, Fendant de Sion
White wine | Valais AOC
A Chasselas in the land of the sun!
This Fendant de Sion offers a fruity and mineral nose, with aromas of quince and apricot. A fine and elegant white wine, ideal for any occasion! And since we might ask you during the meal: yes, Fendant is Chasselas. Or more precisely, a type of Vaudois Chasselas which was introduced to Valais in the 19th century and whose grapes split – without squirting – under the pressure of the fingers. Today, Chasselas is the most planted white grape variety in Valais!
