La Grangelière Pierre Amadieu
Red wine | Vacqueyras AOC
The little brother we love!
This red wine, in the Vacqueyras appellation, immediately seduces with its fruity and spicy character, of strawberry, plum, nutmeg and cinnamon. Ample and powerful, with dense tannins, it remains very juicy, very supple. This is a beautiful vintage of pleasure, with a more immediate style than the ''big brother'' Gigondas, the flagship appellation and birthplace of the estate, in 1929.

On the southern slope of the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Vacqueyras terroir spreads out in terraces where alluvium and pebbles mingle giving the Grenache and Syrah vines a very fruity character.
After destemming, the grapes are vinified in concrete vats, with pumping over and unloading, for around three weeks. The aging combines with the character of each wine: a third develops a patina for around six months in barrels while the remainder softens slowly in tuns. To the alliance of fruitiness are added the pleasant roundness of woody aromas and the subtlety of natural micro-oxygenation.
