Domaine Grand Romane Blanc Bio
White wine | Gigondas AOC
A rarity to discover, that's clear and simple!
This limited cuvée of Clairette reveals floral aromas and citrus notes, with a smooth mouthfeel, both rich and lively. A beautiful expression of old vines on a cool terroir, exposed to the north. Its mineral and saline character makes it a great white wine for gastronomy, to pair with a pan-fried scallops in a slightly lemony sauce or an old Gruyère.

From the oldest Clairette vines planted in 1955 at an altitude of 300m on the Gigondas hillsides, this wine is a pure rarity. The soil is composed of alternating limestone and Cretaceous marl, with a northwest exposure.
The vines are harvested manually towards the end of September. This vintage is vinified entirely in barrels, 30% of which are new wood, then stirred and aged on fine lees for 9 months.
