Château de Vinzel Grand Cru 2002
White wine | Vinzel, La Côte AOC
In the Prime of Life
The year 2002 culminated in generous harvests and ripe grapes for very balanced Chasselas, with excellent aging potential. This white wine proves it: at almost 25 years old, it reveals a mineral quality, with aromas of lemon zest, grapefruit, and notes of honey. On the palate, it displays a superb presence, a certain tension, and a long finish with flavors of wax and pollen. A great wine, saline, chalky, fresh, and precise. To be savored quietly, with strong cheeses or a dried porcini mushroom risotto!

The Domaine du Château de Vinzel is located in the so-called “Bonne Côte”. The gently sloping vineyard, in one piece of 8.5 hectares, is established on a gravelly hillside, facing south and meeting the highest quality requirements. A high planting density and strictly limited yields give this wine structure and concentration.

Château de Vinzel
The Château de Vinzel estate is a jewel that shines in the heart of La Côte. Its 8.5 hectare vineyard extends around period buildings. It benefits from a gentle slope, facing south, with a high planting density and limited yields. Today, the new generation of the Monachon winegrower family, with Fabien at its head, takes care of the vines of this prestigious estate.
