Château de Chardonne Premier Grand Cru 2011
White wine | Chardonne, Lavaux AOC
Not everyone can be a Premier Grand Cru!
The Château de Chardonne, while reserved in its youth, ages admirably over several decades. The great 2011 vintage, with very slow maturation, offers us a complex white wine, with mineral, floral and fruity accents, enhanced with a touch of honey. A very refined Chasselas, which well deserves its place at the top of the Vaud wine pyramid!

This 1.7 ha vineyard is one of the jewels of the Obrist estates. The vines, on steep hillsides facing Lake Geneva, have a soil composed of brown earth, limestone and moraine. They are subject to regular controls by the Confrérie des Vignerons de Vevey.
This Premier Grand Cru is produced in the traditional way and aged on its lees in wooden vases.
