Black color. Intense, fine, subtle, complex, pure nose, with nuances of black fruits mixed with red fruits. Notes of raspberry and flowers. Unimaginable! It is fresher when shaken in the glass, always with this aromatic touch in relief which adorns the black fruit, fresh and almost leafy as mint could be. Soft on the palate, ultra melting in the middle, absolutely delicious and with an incredible richness of flavors between the taste, the touch and all the nobility of the place, the wine soars in the finish sappy, fragrant and yet lively. An elusive, contrasting rendering with a crazy personality. Blend: 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Alcohol content: 14°2. pH: 3.70 (average) – IPT: 72 (average +). Production: 71%. Yield: 34.5 hl/ha.

Subtle and complex bouquet marked by nuances of violets and scents of black berries. Notes of licorice and spices followed by a touch of juniper, a note found in this and surrounding terroirs. Dense and racy attack. What freshness and finesse of tannin grains. The latter are powerful, massive but well countered by a racy and sharp acidity. The result is a wine which more than ever embodies the notion of quiet strength and serenity. Of course, it is a firm, massive Horse but it is perfectly balanced thanks to the attention that was paid to the extractions, thanks to the fullness of the Merlot, the freshness of the Cabernet and the liveliness of the acidity. 2030-2070 (98-99/100)

Spice, anise, rosemary, blackcurrant leaf, redcurrants, mint, peonies, the full array of aromatics are on display here, and there is an enveloping aspect to the fruit once you get to the body of the wine. The tannins are compact and powerful but they are wrapped in plump raspberry and blackberry brambled fruits. The wine feels full of life, with acidity that pulls the palate forward from the first moment, before austerity kicks in on the finish and closes things in, suggesting an extremely long life ahead. Hard to argue with this. Could go up after tasting in bottle, a potential 100 points. Drinking Window 2028 - 2048

A beautiful deep purple red.

Nose
Nose

The expression of the aromas delivers floral facets of violet and peony which evolve towards red fruit, raspberry and black cherry. This vintage is characterized by its brilliance, its aromatic freshness, its precision, its clarity.

Palate
Palate

The attack is ample. The mid-palate is full, fatty, voluptuous, voluptuous, with an endless finish. The tannins are suave, silky and elegant, on the palate the balance is perfect.

Château Cheval Blanc

Château Cheval Blanc

The history of the estate began in the 4th century, at the time of the Roman Empire. Then, the vineyard developed strongly in the Middle Ages. Château Cheval Blanc occupies a special position in the “Saint-Émilion” appellation, because it is located on the Quaternary alluvium of the Isle and enjoys a unique terroir (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties).
