Its dense blue/purple color is accompanied by an extraordinary nose of incense, raspberries, cassis, sweet forest floor and a subtle hint of menthol. Opulent and full-bodied with low acidity but no sense of heaviness, this dense, unctuously textured, super-smooth, velvety, pure, profound Cheval Blanc is impossible to resist despite its youthfulness. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2050+. (Robert Parker)

Super-spicy, this is an extremely elegant 2009 with enormous concentration and finesse. The complex finish lights up the sky and you wonder how this spectacular ripeness could have been more perfectly expressed. Drink or hold. (Horizontal Tasting, London, 2019)

A beautiful deep purple red.

Nose
Nose

The expression of the aromas delivers floral facets of violet and peony which evolve towards red fruit, raspberry and black cherry. This vintage is characterized by its brilliance, its aromatic freshness, its precision, its clarity.

Palate
Palate

The attack is ample. The mid-palate is full, fatty, voluptuous, voluptuous, with an endless finish. The tannins are suave, silky and elegant, on the palate the balance is perfect.

Château Cheval Blanc

Château Cheval Blanc

The history of the estate began in the 4th century, at the time of the Roman Empire. Then, the vineyard developed strongly in the Middle Ages. Château Cheval Blanc occupies a special position in the “Saint-Émilion” appellation, because it is located on the Quaternary alluvium of the Isle and enjoys a unique terroir (Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties).
