Walter Glatzer "Ried Bärnreiser" Blaufränkisch
Red wine | Carnuntum DAC, 1. ÖTW
A great Austrian to discover urgently!
This red wine reveals superb aromas of blackcurrant and cherries, accompanied by tobacco and liquorice. With a beautiful tannic structure, very persistent, it displays good aging potential. It’s a Premier Cru from a single plot – look for Ried on Austrian labels, a local term meaning “place” – from Blaufränkisch, an important central European grape variety, especially planted in Austria, where it produces exceptional… and little-known wines. Enjoy!
