The Brunello di Montalcino appellation produces some of the most famous red wines in Italy, but that doesn't mean they are inaccessible. That of Poggio Salvi is a must to discover the style of this appellation and this producer or just to treat yourself without delay. Because this 2018, the icing on the cake – and also in the glass – is already ready to drink. It is a great wine with a spicy, fine, very expressive character!

Intense ruby red.
With very fine aromas of ripe fruit, supported by typical scents of flowering clusters and notes of lavender.
Dry and fruity with noble and silky tannins. Lingering finish.
Italian bruschettas, mushroom pasta or risottos, beef carpaccio, vitello tonnato, red mullet fillets, grilled lamb chops, truffle specialties.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
The Villa Poggio Salvi vineyard faces the Tyrrhenian Sea on the southwest slope of Montalcino. The vineyard was planted more than 15 years ago and has a soil composed of marl and clay.
Pre-maceration at a temperature of 12°C for 8 days; fermentation at 28°C in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Aging for 30 months in Slavic oak barrels, maturation for at least 4 months in bottles.
