The initials RWT stand for Red Winemaking Trial, a project that began in 1995. Launched in 2000 with the 1997 vintage, RWT Shiraz has been known as Bin 798 since 2016. This wine is opulent and fleshy, contrasting with the more muscular Grange. RWT, made from grapes selected for their aromatic qualities and texture, redefines Barossa Shiraz at the highest level. Designed to age for a long time, it offers precision, concentration and balance.

Deep red, almost opaque.
Notes of blueberry dominate, accompanied by fruits like goji berry and loganberry.
Dense and lush, with a supple, lively flesh. Notes of berry ice cream and Black Forest gateau, redcurrant and blackberry. Silky, velvety tannins, offering exemplary texture. Dense without relying on alcohol or oak. Superb length and balance.
Grilled red meats, braised beef, game, rich sauce dishes.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
Red clay, sandy and calcareous soils, which are ideal for growing Shiraz. The warm climate of the Barossa Valley allows for optimum ripening of the grapes, giving the RWT Shiraz its opulent character, rich in aromas and texture, whilst maintaining a balanced structure.
