Penfolds Bin 707
Red wine | Australia
Penfolds Bin 707 is one of the flagship wines of the renowned Australian wine house Penfolds , which specialises in the production of prestige wines. Launched in 1964, Bin 707 is a pure Cabernet Sauvignon, often considered the Cabernet equivalent of Penfolds' legendary Grange . The wine is made from the best Cabernet Sauvignon plots, with grapes sourced from several Australian regions, including Coonawarra, Barossa Valley, and Wrattonbully.
Bin 707 is known for its richness, power, and exceptional ageing potential. It is matured in new American oak barrels, giving it intense oak aromas and a solid tannic structure. This wine is a model of a wine for laying down, with the potential to age for decades, while remaining a pure expression of the Penfolds style: opulent, complex, and with great aromatic depth.

Impenetrable black.
Fresh and lively, it leaps from the glass.
All the essential elements are there: blackcurrant, blackberry, cooked black plum, freshly picked black fig, with a touch of "blackness" in the background.
Spices? Of course – nutmeg and a Moroccan blend reminiscent of dukkah: cumin, coriander, sesame.
Oak? Perhaps hidden behind aromas of toasted coconut, toast, and a hint of dark chocolate.
A swirl, a little air, and a moment in the glass remind us that this wine is much more than just a Cabernet!
Powerful, carried by a wave of fresh fruits: blackberry, fig, goji berry, raspberry, blackcurrant, with a touch of liquorice.
