Colour

Dark red with purple undertones.

Nose

Notes of blackberry and blackcurrant of great clarity and purity, which combine with aromas of coffee, nutmeg and truffle.

Palate

Powerful and dense, perfectly balanced, with a distinct freshness and liveliness. Expansive and well-defined tannins allow the wine to last a long time at the end of tasting.

Wine-growing terroir

Of exceptional depth thanks to the red and stony soils, this terroir benefits from constant ventilation from the sea and intense light. The surrounding woods and hills create an ideal microclimate for viticulture, with the particularity of reinforcing the temperature differences between night and day. The vines are planted in soils from marine stratifications, particularly rich in minerals.

Winemaking

Fermentation and maceration at regulated temperature for 18 days, with frequent pumping over. Aging for 18 months in French barrels.

He is also the owner of the renowned Tenuta Sette Ponti in Tuscany, Poggio al Lupo in Maremma and Feudo Maccari in Sicily. These estates with their evocative and famous names bear witness to the talent of the man we call Doctor Moretti. Located in the heart of Bolgheri, in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, near the famous Ornellaia vineyard, the Podere Orma estate extends over 5.5 hectares dedicated to the production of its unique eponymous wine, Orma.
