Deep purple.
Aromas of ripe black fruits, spices and lightly toasted wood.
The generous and juicy prologue gives way to rich and firm tannins, while the finish
is aromatic, sumptuous and persistent.
Located in Tuscany, not far from the Bolgheri hills, the vineyard benefits from a mosaic of clayey-sandy soils of marine, alluvial and volcanic origin, offering a pure and refined expression.
Each grape variety was vinified separately, plot by plot. After alcoholic fermentation, partly in stainless steel vats and partly in concrete vats, at temperatures of 22°C to 28°C for fifteen days, maceration lasted about 10-15 days. Malolactic fermentation took place in vats, after which the wines were transferred to barrels (25% new oak barrels and 75% single-wine barrels). The wine was then aged in barrels in the Ornellaia winery for about 15 months. After the first 12 months of aging, the wines were blended and returned to barrels for three more months. After bottling, the wine rests for another six months before being marketed.
