This pure Galotta – a Swiss cross between Gamay and Ancelotta – offers us intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry, prune and blueberry, accompanied by a touch of liquorice and fine toasted notes. On the palate, it is powerful on attack, with generous substance, with coated tannins. A distinguished and delicious red wine, further enhanced by aging in new wood, a top-of-the-range Galotta!

Palate
Powerful on attack, with generous substance, with tannins already partially coated, it offers beautiful aromatic persistence. Elegant, distinguished and gourmet.
Ideal to accompany
Meat au jus, veal chop, stale beef steak on the bone, stew, simmered game, venison, free-range chicken with porcini mushrooms, vegetable gratin.

Serving temperature: 14 - 16°C
Winemaking
Obtained in 1981 at the Agroscope Research Station in Pully, galotta comes from a cross between ancelotta and gamay. He owes his name to the contraction of his parents' names. This vintage was aged for 9 months in oak barrels.
