This pure Verdejo, the emblematic grape of the Rueda region, has an intense bouquet of fresh grass and citrus fruits. Its ageing on the lees gives it great volume and a very silky finish. "La Caprichosa" lives up to its name: it's a special vineyard, not very fertile, planted with old vines that are difficult to work. Palacio de Bornos has transformed it into a great white wine!

Nose

Great aromatic intensity, marked by the wide range of varietal aromas (freshly cut grass, balsamic notes, citrus fruits) with a contribution of maturity coming from aging on the lees.

Palate

Good structure, balanced, smooth, silky with a long finish, reminiscent of the aromas perceived on the nose.

Wine-growing terroir

Gravelly and not very fertile soil, planted in cups and more than thirty years old.

Located in Rueda in the province of Valladolid in Castile and León, the Palacio de Bornos estate was founded in 1976 and began producing quality wines alongside the growth of the Rueda DO appellation. From the first years, the brand built a solid reputation in Castile and León, which then quickly expanded nationally and then internationally. Today, the estate specializes in the production of various white wines made from the Verdejo grape variety.
