Duval-Leroy "Clos des Bouveries" 2006
Sparkling wine | Champagne Extra-Brut Premier Cru
A family treasure… to put in everyone’s hands!
This Champagne comes from a historic vineyard of the Duval-Leroy family, backing onto the village of Vertus, where it all began in 1859. But above all, it comes from a "clos," a cherished parcel of land surrounded by walls which is a rare feature in Champagne and one that is synonymous with quality. This single-plot, single-variety Champagne, with its particular vinification, is a demonstration of the Duval-Leroy family's expertise!
- France Champagne
- Chardonnay
- 20 years
- 12.50% vol.
Shimmering gold.
Beautiful harmony between finely woody notes and mineral purity.
A wine with sharp minerality and a dense, silky texture.
The 200 hectares of Duval-Leroy vineyards in production account for a third of its supplies, with the remainder coming exclusively from the harvest, through the purchase of grapes and musts. Duval-Leroy is present in all the Grand Cru communes of the Côte des Blancs, but is also well established in the Grands Noirs of the Montagne de Reims. Supplies of Grand Cru and Premier Cru represent 40% of the total, with an exception in Champagne.
This champagne is the reflection of a terroir, a climate and the expertise of the cellar manager. Single-plot, single-varietal, Clos des Bouveries is vinified half in oak barrels for its contribution of finely wooded notes and the other half in vats for mineral purity.

Champagne Duval-Leroy
Family Champagne house founded in 1859, Duval-Leroy operates around 200 ha of vines. Based on the very prestigious Côte des Blancs, it produces vintages with unique structures and aromas in Champagne. Following in the footsteps of Carol Duval-Leroy, the “Woman of Champagne,” it is today up to her three sons, Julien, Charles and Louis to keep up the spirit of the house.
