It's all in the name!
Although this cuvée has existed since 1999, it reinvents itself each year to express the quintessence of the vintage. The blend created by Jean-François Crausaz and his team for this 2022 vintage yields a red wine with notes of ripe fruit and licorice, supported by a dense structure and a long finish. Fewer than 2,500 numbered bottles were produced in this exceptional vintage. A rarity with a unique style!

Impressive tannic structure, with magnificent length. This is a great red wine for aging, which will improve over a good decade!

Wine-growing terroir

Bolle & Cie owns and leases vineyards in the Côte region, notably in Luins and Vufflens-le-Château. Based on experience, the vineyard and cellar teams know that late harvests are extremely successful at the Domaine de Sarraux-Dessous in Begnins. Each year, they manage to produce the premium La Licorne wines from this terroir.

Winemaking

Each grape variety was aged separately for a year in oak barrels, and the final blend yielded fewer than 2,500 75cl bottles and 120 magnums, all numbered. A true rarity!
