Cure d'Attalens, Galotta
Red wine | Chardonne Grand Cru Lavaux AOC
A Galotta in all its purity, in high-end fashion!
The Swiss Galotta grape variety thrives well on the Cure d'Attalens terroir, where a plot was selected to create a confidential cuvée, with limited production. Its aging for 3 years in new barrels combines aromas of vanilla, smoke and cocoa with fruity notes of black cherry and plum. A remarkable complexity, which we find on the palate, for a dense, powerful but elegant wine, to pair with an equivalent dish!

Sparkling intense red with purplish reflections.
Perfect consonance between the aromas of roasting (toasted and cocoa notes) and black fruits such as blackberry, blueberry and cherry. With a surprising aromatic intensity, which demonstrates the great potential of this wine.
Concentration combined with powerful tannins gives remarkable vigor on the palate. With spicy aromas which support the fruit and woodiness already present. A powerful but elegant wine.
The Obrist house has owned this exceptional vineyard since 1896. On the heights of Vevey, the vines, leaning against the south-facing hillsides in the heart of the Chardonne production site, overlook Lake Geneva. The estate is subject to visits by the Confrérie des Vignerons de Vevey, which has repeatedly awarded winegrowers working this favorite land with gravelly and semi-limestone soils. Grape variety planted on a specially selected plot, reduced production in the vineyard.
Vatting for 4 weeks, then aging for 3 years in new barrels.

Cure d’Attalens
La Cure d'Attalens has a very long tradition of vine cultivation. Its eventful and rich history has been closely linked to that of Obrist for more than a century, since it was the first renowned wine estate acquired by the Vevey house in 1896. The terraced vines are pampered by winegrowers - let’s work – and winemaker-task! – distinguished at the Fête des Vignerons.
