Clos du Rocher Rouge
Red wine | Yvorne Grand Cru, Chablais AOC
A big red from behind the rock
This beautiful blend will amaze you with its aromas of blackcurrant and elderberry, sprinkled with cocoa and pepper. Well bred and well built, it deserves a few years of rest in the cellar to achieve perfect harmony and express all its potential! Enough to prove that the Yvorne terroir, with its gently sloping vines, caressed by the foehn, makes it possible to create great red wines!

Located in Yvorne, one of the largest wine-growing municipalities in the Canton of Vaud, Clos du Rocher benefits from an exceptional terroir. Nestled against the rocky face, the vines face due south on one of the steepest slopes in the area, in stony, well-drained soil. The warm Föhn winds help prevent grape disease, while in the evening and at night, temperatures drop, maintaining the balance in the grapes.
Traditional vinification, aged for 15 months in oak barrels.

Clos du Rocher
Clos du Rocher was born in the 19th century, when vines and well-ordered walls replaced scrub and rock. The estate was acquired in 1918 by Emile Obrist, who immediately recognised the qualities of this terroir. He has proved it ever since, as this vineyard with its special aura has received praise from the profession, as much for its wines as for its winemakers!
