The lands of Château Pontet-Canet are located in the heart of the Pauillac appellation. Here it is the poverty of the earth which serves as a matrix. The soil seems to consist only of gravel and sand, and it is difficult to imagine that vines could grow there. The 120 ha of the vineyard are made up of a ridge of Garonne gravel, on a limestone base. These plots are managed biodynamically.
Vinification for 4 weeks, aging for 16 to 20 months in barrels, 60% of which is new wood.
