96 100James SucklingThis shows attractive aromas and flavors of chocolate, walnuts, wet earth, mushrooms and berries with full-body, round and refined tannins and a subtle, focused finish. Excellent length, in a sophisticated way. Chewy at the end.

94 100Yves BeckPurplish purple. The bouquet of Pape Clément is marked by fruity notes and by its aging, to a nevertheless balanced extent. On the palate the wine knows how to combine charm and freshness. It has grainy tannins and a lively structure that supports the aromatics. The whole must still gain harmony but the prospects are promising. 2024-2039.

95 100DecanterContinuing the strong performance of Pape Clement over recent vintages. Violet edging around the glass, and a supple tannic hold that both constricts and expands the fruit through the palate, giving a sense of momentum. There is a firm tannic grip, given drama by notes of black pepper and bitter chocolate, and a slate textured finish to slow things down and hold the flavor. Malolactic fermentation in barrels (60%) new, and aging in both barrels (90%) and larger oak casks. Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc are planted in the vineyard, but not yet in the 1st wine. Certified bee-friendly. Tasted twice, two weeks apart, excellent both times. Drinking Window 2027 - 2040

94 100Jean-Marc QuarinDark and intense color. Very aromatic and complex nose, with ripe fruitiness. Soft on the attack, juicy in the mid-palate and above all extremely fragrant, the wine evolves savorily, on a rather tender whole, towards a good length without angle.
Intense and deep purple, with purplish reflections.
Intense and complex bouquet, notes of black cherries, blackberries and redcurrants.
It presents itself with body, a little fat and tannins which slowly reveal themselves on the finish. It evolves, showing a beautiful fruity and woody character, and reveals itself to be more and more noble.
Caramelized poultry, beef with morels, truffled chicken, venison saddle, camembert.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
