100 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateIs the 2019 Château Margaux the wine of the vintage? A strong case in its favor could certainly be made. Soaring from the glass with aromas of blackberries, raspberries, rose petals, violets, pencil shavings and vine smoke, it's full-bodied, layered and sensual, with a strikingly vibrant core of fruit that's framed by ripe, powdery tannins and bright acids, concluding with a penetrating, mouthwateringly saline finish of almost interminable duration. Complex, elegant and convincingly compelling, this is a brilliant Bordeaux that anyone with the requisite disposable income is going to want to own. - William Kelley.

100 100James SucklingAmazing aromas of crushed stones and wet soil with fresh mushrooms, then going on to violets and other flowers. Dark fruit, too. Full-bodied, yet agile and fine, with a linear flow of tannins that run through the center of palate. The finesse of the tannins is exceptional, like raw silk and changing all the time. Cool and energetic, yet reserved. Zen-like. 37% of the production and 90% cabernet sauvignon, 7% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot. So well balanced that you can drink it now, but this is one to leave for a decade and more. Ethereal.

99 100Alexandre MaChâteau Margaux 2019 is the “National Beauty and Heavenly Fragrance” in my heart. It is like a well-proportioned and charming landscape painting, representing the masterpiece of the Margaux appellation. The refreshing berry wine flows into the glass just like the spring, tender and crystal clear. The full-bodied wine contains a wealth of details so that you can feel softer and more mellow wine through the layered fruity and aromas. Knowing that it only contains 10% of the Merlot, I felt surprised, I didn't expect that 90% Cabernet Sauvignon blends could be so pure and mild.

99 100Yves BeckIf Pavillon was intended to be rather fine, the great wine is above all intended to be complex with many facets. It reveals both red and black berry nuances with aromas of blueberries and blackberries complemented by the freshness of Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate the wine is distinguished by its finesse, by its chiseled, powerful and elegant side. It has a healthy vigor, which it knows how to control perfectly, and an acid structure which packs fullness while imparting freshness. So, a very beautiful symbiosis between power and temperament. A wine that has texture, character and serenity and finesse. It certainly remains one of the most Burgundy of Bordeaux. 2027-2054.
Gorgeous purplish purple.
Fine, fruity, very aromatic. Aromas of blackberry, cherry and peppermint.
Velvety, tasty and noble. The wine has body, but the tannins are incredibly fine. Very nice length.
Surprising with cod or Chinese cuisine, red meats, roast poultry, goat cheese.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
The vines, inclined on a gentle slope in a sort of amphitheater, are established on a gravelly and clayey ridge of fluvial origin (abundant gravel at the top, the bottom of the ridge being composed of limestone and finer elements due to runoff) .
