Château Malartic-Lagravière is located on a hilltop in Léognan, on Quaternary gravel soils with veins of clay. This highly permeable soil, capable of retaining a significant amount of water, ensures that the vines are perfectly hydrated. It benefits from a microclimate with little variation and optimal sunshine, which are very beneficial.
Hand-picked grapes, successive sorting, slow inert pressing, fermentation in barrels. Aged on lees for 14 months with stirring in French oak barrels (Bordeaux barrels, Burgundy pieces, 500-litre barrels). 50% new wood. Consulting oenologist: Eric Boissenot.
