A dark and intense purple red, with purplish highlights.
Intense aromas of ripe fruit, dominated by notes of blueberry and blackcurrant, followed by flavors of licorice and chocolate, ending with a minty touch.
First impression tasty and elegant, revealing density and sapidity, with perfectly integrated silky tannins. A delicious and refreshing wine.
Charcuterie, meat or game pâté, Périgord salad, boletus pasta, oven roasted red meat, barbecue, venison saddle, wild boar stew, semi-soft cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18 ° C
Château Malartic-Lagravière is located on a ridge of Léognan, on soils of quarternaire gravel and clay veins. This very permeable soil, capable of retaining a large reserve of water, ensures a perfect water supply for the vines. It benefits from a slightly variable microclimate and optimal sunlight exposure.
Hand-picked grapes from individual plots in small crates, double sorting on vibrating tables, vinification in small thermo-regulated truncated cone-shaped wooden and stainless steel vats, fermentation lasting three weeks. Traditional ageing for 18 months on fine lees in French oak barrels (65% new wood). Consulting oenologist Eric Boissenot.
