97 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateLike its stablemate Langoa Barton, the 2019 Léoville Barton is a timeless classic, made for patient connoisseurs. Offering up aromas of blackcurrants, plums, pencil shavings and licorice, it's full-bodied, deep and concentrated, its deep core of fruit framed by a chassis of rich, powdery tannin that makes itself felt on the youthfully firm finish. While it's clearly built for the long haul, its structural seamlessness and mid-palate plenitude mark it out as one of the finest wines from this château in recent times. Could it be a more concentrated modern-day version of Anthony Barton's brilliant 1985? - William Kelley.

97 100Yves BeckThe bouquet of Léoville Barton is still marked by its aging, which does not prevent it from revealing its complexity and a beautiful fruity intensity. On the palate, it is above all elegance that takes precedence. The wine has body and fullness. Its tannins are fine, powerful and perfectly in tune with the vigor of the structure. A wine which combines charm, elegance and power, from the attack to the finish. The latter is also intense and persistent. 2026-2049.

97 100Alexandre MaLéoville Barton 2019 is a pure and pure top wine. There is a charming violet fragrance in the gentle berry aroma. Compared with the slightly convergent feeling during the wine, it is obviously more fresh and active. I can even feel a warm smile in the wine glass. The creamy texture blends well with the deep, concentrated structure, and the refined tannins dance on the palate like a lover's kiss, leaving me with a beautiful impression.

96 100DecanterMedium to full intensity in color, this is glass-staining ruby and yet another hit from an estate that is making seriously great wine right now. Mint and eucalyptus are clear, tension and grip held through the palate. This has shoulders and swagger to the tannins, pure cassis hit of fruit and some lovely black chocolate and slate overtones along the way. Strays almost to Pauillac in terms of the weight of the tannins, but it's brilliant. -Jane Anson.
