Château Lécuyer
Red wine | Lalande-de-Pomerol AOC
Owned by the Petit family of the Tournefeuille estate, Château Lécuyer was established in 2004 and, vintage after vintage, has become a cornerstone of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, offering the makings of a Grand Cru. In 2022, Château Lécuyer was taken over by Ronan Laborde of Château Clinet. The Château Lécuyer vineyard covers an area of 3.4 hectares. Aged in a small modern cellar built in 2000, this nectar comes mainly from two magnificent terroirs: the clay-gravel plateau of Lalande-de-Pomerol, which gives it generosity and pedigree, and a sandy-clay soil that brings finesse and elegance.

93 100Wine EnthusiastAlways a finely textured wine, this latest release is concentrated with smoky tannins and ripe berry flavors. It has density along with a solid structure. The wine, made of mainly Merlot, will age further. Drink from 2025. Roger Voss. January 2023.

2024-2035. 91-92/100. Mai 2021.

88 100DecanterCloves and grilled cedar, plenty of blackberry and black cherry fruits but the balance is thrown on on the finish by a bitter twist to the tannins. There is a confident structure here, and it should soften over ageing. Owned by Emeric Petit. Drinking window: 2023 - 2030.

Longueur moyenne. A consommer de préférence entre 2028 et 2038. Mars 2023.

91 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateDisplaying a deep purple-black color, the 2020 Lécuyer is boldly scented of baked black plums, blueberry compote and chocolate-covered cherries with hints of raisin cake, Chinese five spice and eucalyptus. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers impactful black and blue fruit layers with lots of minerally sparks and a fine-grained texture, finishing long and earthy. Drinking window: 2024 - 2040. 89-91/100. Lisa Perrotti-Brown. June 2021.

Château Tournefeuille
The place called Tournefeuille appears for the first time in 1783 in the famous map of Guyenne, established by the historian Belleyme. In 1998, the Sautarel family, owners since the 1930s, handed over responsibility for this great terroir to the Petit and Cambier families. Since 2014, the Petit family has been working to reveal the terroir of Château Tournefeuille and to modernize and renew the infrastructure. From 2011, the Château also welcomes visitors in authentic and warm guest rooms.
