Purple color with violet reflections. Aromatic and expressive nose with aromas of blackcurrant, blackberries and blueberry jam, complemented by notes of sweet spices, aromatic herbs and white roses. Beautiful freshness on the palate, silky tannins, expressive fruit and excellent length. A large Lascombes with excellent precision.

The bouquet of Lascombes reveals itself with delicacy. It is subtle, inviting and shines with its generous but also fresh and floral side. On the palate the wine has character, pep. It has tight tannins which provide perfect support while the acid structure gives temperament and energy. An elegant, ample, sapid and persistent Lascombes. 2026-2050 95-96/100

Blackberries and spices, such as cloves and nutmeg, as well as licorice and hints of graphite. It's full-bodied with firm, chewy tannins, yet they are polished and beautiful. Structured. Solid.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Lascombes comes skipping out of the glass with bright, cheery scents of raspberry coulis, blackberry preserves and fresh blackcurrants, plus suggestions of pencil shavings, dried roses and charcuterie with a waft of bouquet garni. The medium to full-bodied palate has great tension and energy, delivering crunchy red and black fruit layers and a firm, grainy frame, finishing long with an herbal lift.

A château that is used to finding charm and exuberance whatever the vintage, and it has avoided overly concentrated flavors. There is plenty of charm to the cassis and damson fruit but they are a little heavy through the mid palate which emphasizes the grilled coffee and chocolate and adds bitter touches to the end of palate. Seriously. A yield of 40hl/ha.
