A beautiful dark red with almost black highlights.
With intense, fruity, mellow aromas.
Fleshy, voluptuous on the palate, developing flavours of very ripe fruit. Nice length with a chalky tannic touch.
Game terrine, meatballs, arancini, grilled sea fish, entrecôté Café de Paris, oven roast, racks of lamb, saddle of venison, Tomme du Jura.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18 ° C
The Château Laroque vineyard comprises 61 hectares of old mass-selected vines, i.e. Merlot and Cabernet vines over 50 years old, planted on a plateau of brown and red clay on asteriated limestone, with terraces facing east and slopes facing west on fine bluish clay with high limestone content.
Hand-picked harvest - harvested by terroir and ripeness. Gravity-fed vatting, whole berries. Plot-by-plot vinification in small concrete vats. Gentle extraction using both punching down and pumping over. Protective maceration to enhance fleshiness and salinity. Reductive ageing on fine lees, partly in barrels and partly in oak casks. First racking after 4 to 6 months of ageing. Second racking one year later before bottling.

Château Laroque
A historic Saint-Émilion estate dating back to the 16th century, Château Laroque is today the largest single-block vineyard in the appellation, spanning 61 hectares on the prestigious limestone plateau listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Planted on a unique geological base encompassing Saint-Émilion’s main limestone soil types, the vineyard delivers a remarkable mineral signature. Through meticulous parcel-by-parcel work, the wines reveal finesse, depth and an authentic expression of terroir.
