Red wine | 1er Cru Classé, Pauillac AC
"Lafite has a soul, a beautiful soul, tender and generous. Lafite changes the earth into a dream. Lafite is harmony, harmony between nature and man because, without our wonderful winegrowers, nothing would be done."

100 100Robert Parker"Deep garnet in color, the 2010 Lafite Rothschild is a little mute on the nose at this stage, opening to reveal warm blackcurrants, baked plums and boysenberry scents with hints of chocolate mint, violets, cedar chest and pencil lead. Full-bodied, rich and densely packed with perfumed black fruit layers, it has a rock-solid backbone of fantastically ripe, grainy tannins and beautiful freshness, finishing very long and minerally. Still very youthful!"

A beautiful concentrated color.
With a deep bouquet of black fruits and liquorice.
Solid and dense wine on the palate, with a beautiful structure and well-pronounced tannins. Long and persistent with notes of violet on the finish.
Beef à la ficelle, grilled bass with vine shoots, partridge accompanied by winter vegetables, stuffed shoulder of lamb, tender rabbit and its olive jus, guinea fowl pastilla.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
On the most beautiful hills of Pauillac, it is a territory that the poet Ausone already spoke of around the year 325. The vineyard, of 112 hectares, includes three large areas: the hillsides around the Château, the Carruades plateau contiguous to the west and a plot in the neighboring town of Saint-Estèphe. These are fine and deep gravel lands, mixed with aeolian sands on a well-drained limestone subsoil.
Fermentations in large oak vats and steel vats, aging for 18 to 20 months in new oak barrels, all coming from the estate cooperage.
