Colour

Intense, almost black, purple red, with purplish highlights.

Nose

Aromas of red and black forest fruits, supported by notes of undergrowth.

Palate

Medium to powerful in body, this vintage reveals well-integrated mature tannins, and has a persistent, fruity finish with lovely freshness.

Wine-growing terroir

Vineyard owned by heiress Nathalie Perrodo-Samani, who also owns Château Marquis d'Alesme-Becker. The 70 ha Château Labégorce vineyard is planted on sandy-gravelly and sandy-loamy soils.

Winemaking

Traditional vinification in concrete vats, aging in barrels for 12 to 14 months (40 - 50% new wood).

Château Labégorce

Located next to Châteaux Margaux and Lascombes, Château Labégorce covers an area of 250 ha, including 70 ha of vines. In 1989, the Perrodo family became owners of the estate and presented a wine with a beautiful structure, with bright fruit and great finesse.
