97 100DecanterA hugely captivating wine, one of the contenders for red of the vintage. There's an incredible plush, dense texture to the fruit here, with just the slightest pulling back on the final section that suggests the damson, cassis and black cherry fruit is not at the full extent of ripeness seen in 2016 and 2015, but there is absolutely no question that this is a successful, rich and well-expressed wine. It's extremely powerful and well constructed, with great tannins and a succulence which grows through the palate. 3.73pH. Drinking Window 2026 - 2042

96 100Yves BeckPurplish purple. Intense and complex bouquet with notes of red berries and spices. Lots of elegance and freshness. Delicious and fruity attack. On the palate the wine presents itself in a filigree manner and gains in intensity as the palate progresses. The tannins are very fine and in synthesis with the structure which gives the breed. What beautiful aromatic intensity with fruity notes and a juicy touch which gives liveliness to this wine. 2024–2045

95 100Jean-Marc QuarinDark, intense, beautiful and purple color. Very aromatic, fine, fruity, pure, subtle and noble nose. Delicate from the start on the palate, subtle in its flavors, very fragrant, less present than the Mission in the middle, the wine develops juicy, suave and long with class in the last 20% of the mouth. It is delicious ! Blend 53% Merlot, 40.7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6.3% Cabernet Franc.

95 100James SucklingA tight and focused red with dark-berry, chocolate and hazelnut character. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a linear and fine finish. Very refined. Elegant and balanced.
Intense, dark purple red, with black reflections.
Fruity, fresh, pure, plum nuances.
Ample, then fleshy, rich and complete, melting and very elegant in its texture and touch, fantastic finish of freshness, flesh and above all great class.
