Assemblage : 79 % cabernet sauvignon, 21 % merlot. Degré d'alcool : 14°2 - pH : 3,57. Rendement : 38 hl/ha. Avril 2023.

96 100DecanterGorgeous vibrant purple colour in the glass, deep and darkly scented, black bramble fruits, flowers, cinnamon, dark chocolate and liquorice. Firm and forward, this is generous but sleek, so you get power and concentration but also juicy liveliness, great tension and energy. I really do like the ease of this, it's not trying too hard but delivered with poise, punch and purity. An excellent wine that really over delivers - so well presented, detailed, finessed and refined but still with the strength coming at the end in the wave of liquorice, dark chocolate and wet stone terroir markers. A brilliant wine with potential to deliver such excellent drinking pleasure. I love it. 3.57pH. A yield of 38hl/ha. 60% grand vin, 40% second wine. Eric Boissenot consultant. Harvest 7-23 September. Yield of 38hl/ha. Ageing in French oak, 75% new. Drinking window: 2027 - 2050. Georgina Hindle. April 2023.

2029-2047. Décembre 2024.

95 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateThe 2022 Grand-Puy-Lacoste has turned out nicely in bottle, unwinding in the glass with aromas of cassis and plums mingled with notions of rose petal, tobacco leaf and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, bright and velvety, with a layered core of fruit and powdery structuring tannins, it's beautifully balanced. Drinking window: 2027 - 2050. William Kelley. March 2025.

A beautiful dark and intense purple red, with almost black highlights.
Very aromatic, fine fruity and pure, with aromas of blackberry, red berries, dark chocolate, licorice, eucalyptus and mint, followed by nuances of hawthorn and classic mineral and graphite notes.
Delicious entry into the mouth, taut core well wrapped in the middle, with velvety tannins and a juicy acid structure. It presents a slight sweetness at the end of the mouth. This is a very convincing vintage!
Antipasti, cold cuts, meat and game terrine, grilled fish, spaghetti bolognese, entrecôte, beef chop, Wellington fillet, venison saddle, wild boar, dark chocolate fondant.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18 °C
The Grand-Puy plateau is located to the west of the village, beyond the hamlet of Bages. This ridge of land rises approximately 20 meters above the sea. The vineyard benefits from an exceptional terroir. The soil is made up of gravel, that is to say alluvial pebbles which ensure excellent drainage of water.
Fermentation for eight to ten days, vatting for approximately three weeks, followed by gentle extraction, daily pumping over, ten-day maceration to complete the extraction, malolactic fermentation. Aged for 16 to 18 months in barrels (2/3 of which are new wood).
