92 100Jean-Marc QuarinDark and intense color. Fruity, ripe nose. Tender on the palate, a bit discreet in the middle then more fatty afterwards, the wine develops ascending, tasty and very pleasant with taste, softness and fine tannins. Good length.

94 100James SucklingA dense and flavorful red already with dark-berry, seaweed and wet-earth undertones. Full body and round and chewy tannins. Green olives on the finish. Serious about vintage.

93 100Yves BeckPurplish purple. Intense and complex bouquet. Fruity, spicy and smoky notes. Favorable character in attack. The wine is creamy, balanced and perfectly supported by tannins which appear slowly on the finish. The structure provides support and provides freshness. Silky and juicy character with beautiful aromatic intensity and persistent fruit on the finish. 2022–2035

89 100Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateThe 2017 Gazin is medium to deep garnet-purple colored and scented of warm red plums and black forest cake with touches of forest floor and crushed rocks. Medium-bodied, soft, rounded and mouth-filling, it gives good expression and depth.

89 100DecanterA property that is extremely well poised and consistent across the last decade. This has enjoyably tight black fruits from its dash of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, with extremely fine, austere tannins and a good attack. It dips a touch on the mid-palate, and for this estate it lacks just a little depth. Although it's built to last, it's not quite up to the standard of the last few vintages. Tested three times. Drinking Window 2024 - 2038
Dark red, with purple reflections.
Magnificent palette of aromas of morello cherries, blackcurrants and blueberries, enveloped in smoky and undergrowth notes.
Beautiful robust structure, elegant tannins, slight touch of acidity present, beautiful long and balanced finish.
Red meats in sauce, baked goose foie gras, woodcock with porcini mushrooms, pan-fried lamb with rosemary, confit lamb.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
