Château Gazin, an 18th century village, is located on the site of the “Hospital de Pomeyrols” built by the Knights to welcome pilgrims on the way to Santiago de Compostela.
The Château vineyard covers an area of 26 ha in one piece located on the high terrace of the Pomerol terroir. The Château is today managed by the 5th generation of the same owner family.

92 100Jean-Marc QuarinDark and intense color. Fruity, ripe nose. Tender on the palate, a bit discreet in the middle then more fatty afterwards, the wine develops ascending, tasty and very pleasant with taste, softness and fine tannins. Good length.

This has enjoyably tight black fruits from its dash of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, with extremely fine, austere tannins and a good attack. It dips a touch on the mid-palate, and for this estate it lacks just a little depth. Although it's built to last, it's not quite up to the standard of the last few vintages. Tested three times. Another great year for Château Gazin with a first wine that is ripe, balanced, and full of finesse! This is the first time that Château Gazin has included so much Cabernet Sauvignon in its blend, which gives good structure and reinforces the complexity of the wine. A vintage that will also seduce you with its excellent value for money!
