2026-2037. Décembre 2024

Lovely freshness and aromatic complexity on the nose; herbs, spices, flowers, bitterness, freshness. Juicy and alive, a brightness and liveliness straight away. The energy here is wonderful, so lean and clean, pure and precise, very pretty, fun and joyful with a salty tang underneath. Delicate almost with such well integrated tannins giving a soft push from start to finish. Really very compelling and drinkable, easy to approach with layers of freshness and the most gorgeous acidity. Not as dense or fleshy as others, but makes up for it in bite, energy and enjoyable minerality. Effortless winemaking. 3.65pH. 12% press. 85-90 IPT, but you wouldn’t tell, it’s so sleek, the power is channelled in a straight line from start to finish. Ageing: 18 months, 70% in new oak barrels and 30% in amphorae TAVA. Drinking window: 2028 - 2049. Georgina Hindle. April 2023.

Rich but very refined and layered, showing spot-on ripeness, the basis for finesse and complexity. Nuanced paprika, minerals, cocoa powder and cigar box with currants and berries. Intense and perfumed, showing fine, dusty tannins and a tight-grained, lengthy finish. Give it three years to soften more, and it will shine. Drink from 2028. Zekun Shuai. February 2025.

Firm tannins set against rich black fruits give this fine wine great balance already. The acidity shows strongly but with ripeness as well as rich berry flavors. Organic and biodynamic. 95-97/100. Roger Voss. February 2023.

A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot, the 2022 Durfort Vivens is a lovely wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of minty dark berries, sweet plums, licorice and burning embers. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered, it's rich and concentrated, with a deep and lively core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins. 93-96/100. William Kelley. April 2023.

Succulent and delicately juicy, with a lovely chalky minerality, coming from the acidity. A wine with beautiful balance, fresh, lively and deeply fragrant, delicious and vibrant. Its tannic structure is compact and precise and gives it its framework. A Dufort-Vivens full of finesse, which marks an additional success...
