This magnificent sweet wine enchants with its aromas of white peach, exotic fruits and crème brûlée. Its sweetness is counterbalanced by superb freshness, airy elegance and an endless finish. A wine which perhaps owes its excellence to a magical terroir… literally! Its soil is rich in precious stones, agates, sapphires and other rock crystals. There is no doubt that the vines draw their inspiration from it to create such a gem!

Nose

With scents of white peaches, limes and green apples.

Palate

Fruity and with a creamy texture. Nice acidity which counteracts the sweetness. Lingering finish.

Wine-growing region

The Rayne Vigneau vineyard sits on a magnificent hillock made up of sandy gravel on a clay base. It dominates the Sauternes region and extends over an area of 84 hectares in one piece. The land conceals astonishing riches: agate, amethyst, onyx and sapphire.

Winemaking

The grapes undergo fermentation in French oak barrels in a thermoregulated cellar. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which is new wood.

Yves Beck Inviting and fresh bouquet with notes of pineapple and radish followed by spicy nuances. On the palate the wine is elegant, agile, fresh and charming. Good notion of balance between race and gentleness. The wine is suave and creamy but it needs more background to achieve its ambitions.

Jean-Marc Quarin Yellow green color. Intense nose, with fresh, subtle and spicy fruitiness. Delicate on the palate, with a fine touch in the middle and without loss of flavors, the wine melts on the palate and finishes meticulous, sappy, with good length with subtle aromas.

Château de Rayne Vigneau

The Rayne Vigneau vineyard sits on a magnificent and unique hilltop, dominating the Sauternes, the third highest point after Yquem near the town of Bommes. It was Albert de Pontac, great nephew of Madame de Rayne, who gave his name "Rayne Vigneau" to the property in 1897.
