Château de Ciffre "Terroirs d'Altitude"
Red wine | Lorgeril Vineyards, Faugères AC
A wine of mountainous, wild, unique character!
This red wine from the Lorgeril family comes from vines planted at the foot of the Pic de la Coquillade, which climbs to an altitude of 700 meters. The nighttime coolness allows the grapes to ripen slowly, and produces balanced wines with lovely finesse. This blend is carried by black fruits, sprinkled with pepper, and crushed stones. A wine with real presence!

The Château de Ciffre vineyard extends over 35 hectares 25 km northwest of Béziers. Clinging to the foothills of the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park, it plunges its roots into a subsoil of shale and limestone. The high altitude terroirs are those whose nighttime freshness allows for gentle maturation and the most elegant expression of aromas.
Manual harvest, vatting for 30 to 35 days, aging for 9 months in oak barrels.
