Very dark, dark garnet, with almost black reflections.
Powerful and intense, dominated by aromas of black fruits and truffle, supported by scents of spices (clove and white pepper).
Fleshy and massive, with very fine tannins, beautiful harmony.
It’s the wine of great moments and discoveries! It also goes very well with cold meats, duck breast, roasted capon, grilled rib of beef and mature cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C
The Château de Ciffre vineyard extends over 35 hectares 25 km northwest of Béziers. On the foothills of the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park, the vines plunge their roots into a subsoil of shale and limestone. The high altitude terroirs are those whose nighttime freshness allows for gentle maturation to offer the most elegant expression of aromas.
Manual harvest and sorting, vatting for 35 to 40 days, favoring the greatest gentleness in extractions. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Aged in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months.
